A quick trip to Virginia

We just got back from a quick trip to Virginia.  I had an event I was hosting in Washington D.C. and Andy tagged a long for a weekend away.  My sis lives in Virginia so we mini vacayed it.

It started off rough with a 5 hour delay before we even left.  It cut a half day out of our trip, which was annoying but sometimes you just have to roll with it.

We spent Saturday in D.C. where we had lunch with some fellow SNU alums

And we had the Titanic.

Then we did some shopping where I got THESE!  Eek!  I heart fringe.

And then her cat Ari tolerated my constant kisses.

Sunday we slept in then went for a family bike/run.  I fell in love with this trail.  Trees, water, birds and perfect running weather of 50 degrees.  When I visit places like this I wonder why I live in Oklahoma.

Then they took us to a pizza place, Blaze, where my nephew works because post exercise requires pizza. You build your own pizza and it cooks in 180 seconds.   Its true that I could have pizza every day. And this was So. Good.

Then we did some mini sight seeing in Williamsburg that included more shopping, William and Mary, and Williamsburg square.

And Monday morning it was off to the airport for a 5:30am flight.  It was way too quick, but a super fun visit on the eastern side of the U.S.

Thanks for being great hosts – Till next time Ayers fam!
